Enjoy your breakfast and then your one day Xian tour begins with a pick-up from your downtown hotel. Head directly to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses, an archaeological wonder that reveals the legacy of China’s inaugural emperor, Qin Shi Huang. These life-sized clay soldiers were carefully crafted two thousand years ago, standing on military formations, each with unique details. Your tour guide will take you on a deep understanding of the complex craftsmanship of this underground army.
After the Terracotta Warriors tour, indulge in a delicious Shaanxi lunch at a local restaurant.
Go back to the Xi’an downtown area and climb up the striking Xian City Wall. This is the largest and best preserved ancient city wall in China. Take a stroll and learn about its construction history under the guidance of your tour guide. You can also choose to ride a bicycle on the top of the city wall (for an additional fee).
Continue your Xian tour to the heart of the ancient city, where the Bell Tower and Drum Tower Square stand as symbols of Xian. You can take some photos here.
Next, be guided to visit the Great Mosque, a major spot for religious activities among the Muslims in Xian. It boasts a unique blend of Chinese and Islamic architectural styles.
Last, take a leisurely walk to the nearby Muslim Quarter, renowned as the most famous food street in Xian. Immerse in the vibrant atmosphere when you explore the bustling market stalls and sample a variety of local snacks and delicacies (at your own expense). From savory lamb skewers to sweet treats, the Muslim Quarter offers a culinary adventure for every palate.
After that, your guide will transfer you back to your downtown hotel, marking the end of your one day tour in Xian.
