After breakfast, meet your private tour guide in your hotel lobby at the agreed time. The first stop of today’s Xian tour is the Ancient City Wall. This is an architectural marvel with a history of over 600 years, not only the largest in China, but also the most well preserved ancient military system. From the city wall, enjoy the panoramic view of Xi’an. Cycling is an optional activity that the vast majority of our customers choose.
Next, take a guided tour of Xian Museum (Closed on Tuesdays), a treasure trove of artifacts that tell the story of Xi’an’s illustrious past. Here, you can learn about thousand-year history of founding the capital and the development of Xian. Also, admire a large collection of cultural relics from all eras of Xian. In addition, visit many thematic displays, such as Buddhist statue art, ancient paintings and calligraphy, and jade wares. In the same senic area, you can also see the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. After that, enjoy your lunch, which will be at your own expense (please feel free to ask your guide for suggestions)
In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. With 7 floors and a height of 64.517 meterst, it was built to hold sutras and figurines of the Buddha that were brought to China from India by the Buddhist translator and traveler Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through the Muslim Quarter. This is a centuries-old Hui people gathering area filled with a strong Muslim atmosphere. You can enjoy various Xian snacks here. After a full day of tour in Xian, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
