- Day 1: Beijing to Chengde TourExplore Chengde Landmarks and Learn Chinese History at Summer Resort
Welcome to our 4-day Bashang Grassland tour from Beijing! In the morning, your private guide will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby. You will then be escorted to Chengde, 3.5-hour driving. Check in at a comfortable hotel in the downtown area after arriving.
Have a short rest and then start your Chengde tour at the Chengde Summer Mountain Resort. The palace is a representative of classical Chinese gardens. You will admire the perfect combination of natural landscape and imperial architecture. In addition, you can take the option of a boat ride to enjoy the beautiful Kunming Lake (at additional cost, optional).
Chengde Mountain Resort After that, you will proceed to the Putuo Zhongcheng Temple, also known as "Little Potala Palace", covering an area of 220,000 square meters. It was a Buddhist temple built by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty in imitation of Tibet's Potala Palace to celebrate his 60th birthday. The main hall is striking, with red and white walls and a top covered with gilded copper tiles.

- Day 2: Chengde to Bashang Grassland TourDrive to Mulan Paddock to Explore Saihaba Park, Lakes, Forests, Sunset
After breakfast, we drive west for about 4 hours to reach our destination, Mulan Paddock, a royal hunting grounds from the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the most beautiful parts of the Bashang grassland.
After lunch, you will explore Saihaba National Forest Park, which boasts dense forests, vast grasslands, clear plateau lakes, and historical sites from the Qing Dynasty. You will visit Seven-star Lake. Originally seven small lakes, it looked as far away as the Big Dipper from a distance, hence its name.
Saihaba National Forest Park In addition, artificial deciduous pine forest and natural birch forest are the main landscapes of the scenic area. Take a leisurely stroll through the birch forest and capture beautiful natural scenery. Before returning to the hotel, enjoy the magnificent sunset on the grassland.

- Day 3: Bashang Grassland to Chengde TourWitness the Amazing Sunrise and Explore the Wulanbutong Grassland
The sunrise on the grassland is an unmissable beauty on your Bashang Grassland tour. In the morning, when the first ray of sunlight falls, the entire grassland is bathed in golden morning light. In such a serene and magnificent natural landscape, you will feel the tranquility.
Sunrise on the vast Bashang Grassland Today's exploration will take you to Wulanbutong Grassland, which is also part of Mulan Paddock. After arrival, visit the Red Hill Military Horse Ranch, where emperors of the Qing Dynasty held the "Mulan Ceremony" every autumn. The scenery here is beautiful and unique - blue sky, white clouds, and lush green grass in summer; colorful vegetation in autumn; silver snow in winter.
Continue your visit to the Film Exterior Center. Many famous television dramas have taken scenes here. You will also explore the European Scenic Zone, Princess Lake, and General Lake.
After all visits, you will be escorted back to Chengde for an overnight stay.

- Day 4: Chengde to Beijing TourHike the Jingshanling Great Wall for 4-5 Hours from West to East
Today is the last day of your China tour in Chengde. After breakfast, drive to Jinshanling Great Wall, which is about 90 kilometers away from Chengde. Due to its broad vision, dense enemy buildings, sound military defense system, it can be regarded as the pinnacle of the Great Wall. After arriving at the ticket office, walk a short distance to the western section of the Great Wall.
Jinshanling Great Wall Starting from Zhuanduo Tower (砖垛关) and hiking eastward, you will encounter many brick and wood structure towers along the way. Your tour guide will explain the background of some important towers to you.
The entire hike lasts 4-5 hours and eventually you will arrive at the East Five Hole Tower (东五眼楼). This is a relatively high point for you to catch the winding Great Wall in the distance. After the Great Wall tour, it's time to say goodbye to Chengde. Drive for about 3 hours back to your hotel in Beijing. We can also provide airport or train station drop-off services, which require an additional fee.
