1. Day 1: Shanghai Arrival

   Welcome to this 5-day private Shanghai tour to Suzhou! Arriving in Shanghai, the local diver will hold a welcome sign with your name at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.

2. Day 2: Shanghai City Tour
   Explore Shanghai's History, Ubran Views, & Bustling Streets

   In the morning, your Shanghai tour guide will pick you up at your downtown hotel and then transfer you to start your visit at the Shanghai Museum at People's Square. Established in 1952, the museum has a collection of more than 120,00 rare cultural pieces from the Old Stone Age to modern times.

   Finish the exploration of history, and stroll on People Square to have a glimpse of the daily life of the locals. The square now is most famous for its match-making corner where parents try to seek partners for their children.

   

   Afterward, you will be guided to ascend Jinmao Tower, the third tallest building in Shanghai with a height of 420.5 meters. You can experience the "wander in the cloud" - walk along a 60-meter-long glass skywalk on the 88th floor.

   After lunch, take a walk on Nanjing Road to see the earliest and most bustling business street in Shanghai. The Shanghai day trip will end by visiting the Bund, one of the best places to see the contrast between old Shanghai and modern Shanghai. Drive back to your hotel after the sightseeing.

3. Day 3: Old Shanghai Tour
   Learn about the Stories of the Old Shanghai

   After hotel pick up, we will head to the hundred-year-old Jade Buddha Temple, where you will see two jade Buddha statues that had been brought from Burma by a monk.

   After that, continue your Shanghai tour to Yuyuan Garden, a famous classical garden that was originally built for Pan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age. Nearby is Yuyuan Market, a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling everything from local snacks to various souvenirs.

   

   In the afternoon, you will take a walk on Shanghai Old Street. With a total length of 825 meters, the architectural style and business layout show the historical and cultural evolution of old Shanghai from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the fusion of Western culture.

   Next, go to explore the Former French Concession, the largest and most prosperous concession among all the four French concessions in old China. From 1849 to 1943, this area was ruled by France for almost a century. Here your private guide will reveal a history of humiliation and you will see many old beautiful European-style buildings that look very charming hidden in the shade of French parasol trees.

   

   At last, enjoy leisure time at Xintiandi – something like Lan Kwai Fong in Hong Kong and Clarke Quay in Singapore. Xintiandi is a fashionable pedestrian street composed of Shikumen and modern architecture style.

4. Day 4: Shanghai to Suzhou Tour
   Admire the Classic Garden, Enjoy a Boat Trip in Water Town

   Meet your guide in the hotel and then drive to Suzhou, a city that is renowned for its elegant gardens, stone bridges, its network of rivers and canals. Your Suzhou tour will take you to Net Master Garden, the representative of the medium-sized classical gardens of Suzhou. Every pavilion, terrace, and building in the garden is adjacent to water, ensuring that water is a constant feature throughout the garden.

   Then, climb the Ancient City Wall, one of the few existing city walls built in feudal dynasties in China.

   

   After lunch, drive to the ancient water town – Zhouzhuang, one of the most famous water towns in China. It is not only noted for its breathtaking natural beauty but also its profound cultural background, the well-preserved ancient residential houses, and the strong local colored traditions and customs. A 15-20 minute cruise by gondola along the canal will be included. After the tour, transfer you back to your Shanghai hotel.

5. Day 5: Shanghai Departure

   Enjoy your free time in the morning at leisure. Then the private driver will pick you up from the hotel and transfer you to the airport according to your flight time. This is the end of your 5-day Shanghai and Suzhou tour.
